Day 1: Geneva to Grenoble

June 20, 2010

Quick post because I’m a bit tired. 173km covered from Geneva to Grenoble (by some of us at least…it was about 20km longer than absolutely necessary due to a slight navigational error by yours truly). About 1,700m of climbing. Some great weather, a few showers, good, long and not too severe climbs, a couple of very exciting (read fairly dangerous descents), and quite a bit of stunning countryside. We’re all tired out this evening but have managed to get a load of tasty grub down and I’m sure will be all set for the awesome challenge of Alpe d’Huez and the Col du Galibier tomorrow.

I’ve uploaded a couple of short videos on the Les Veloistes Gentils YouTube channel and will get some photos up on Flickr when I can.
